Tulare County Regional Transit Agency (TCRTA)

The TULARE COUNTY REGIONAL TRANSIT AGENCY (“TCRTA” or “Transit Agency”) is a joint powers agency formed by the Cities of Dinuba, Exeter, Farmersville, Lindsay, Tulare, Woodlake, and County of Tulare. (each, a “Member Agency” and together, the “Member Agencies”) pursuant to Section 6500 et seq. of the Government Code of the State of California through the adoption of a Joint Powers Agreement that became effective on August 17, 2020 (the “Joint Powers Agreement”). Subsequently, the TCRTA Board approved the membership of the Tule River Indian Tribe of California to the agency at a special meeting held on August 24, 2022.

The purpose of the Joint Powers Agreement is to empower the Member Agencies to exercise their common powers by the formation and operation of TCRTA, with full power and authority to own, operate, and administer a public transportation system within the jurisdictions of the Member Agencies. TCRTA is and shall operate as a public agency separate and apart from the Member Agencies.

Public Notice of Proposed Service Changes:

The Tulare County Regional Transit agency (TCRTA) is making changes to its on-demand microtransit service. This includes expansion of services to Tulare, Farmersville, Ivanhoe, Visalia, and South County communities, as well as reconfiguration of the existing service in the Lindsay-Porterville area. Passengers are encouraged to comment. A Public Hearing for final comments will be held at the TCRTA Board Meeting scheduled for Monday, June 17^th, 2024 at 4:00pm. The hearing will be held in the conference room located at 210 N. Church St., Suite B, Visalia, CA 93291 (unless otherwise noted in the TCRTA June Board Meeting agenda).  

TCRTA Staff will be hosting sessions at the following locations and times:

• Tulare Public Library at 475 N. ‘M’ St., Tulare, CA 93274 on May 30^th from 6pm to 7pm
• Farmersville City Hall at 909 W. Visalia Rd., Farmersville, CA 93223 on May 31^st from 12pm to 1pm
• Tipton Elementary School at 370 N. Evans Rd., Tipton, CA 93272 on June 5^th from after 5pm to 6pm
• Tulare County Library at 200 W. Oak Ave., Visalia, CA 93291 on June 6^th from 5:45pm to 6:45pm
